Testosterone HRT reduces estrogen levels in the body and promotes the development of secondary sex characteristics such as a deepened voice, facial and body hair growth, changes to monthly bleeding, increased muscle mass, and more. Changes will vary from person to person, but you can read more in our Library on expected timelines for changes on testosterone HRT.
Yes. The larynx (or voice box) is a hormone-dependent organ. Testosterone causes the vocal cords to thicken and lengthen, deepening the voice, while the cartilage of the larynx grows, further influencing the tone of voice. These changes can start to happen anywhere from 3-6 months from beginning T and finish changing within 1-2 years, depending on the dosage.
Because testosterone is a schedule III controlled substance, by law it requires a signature upon receipt and will be sent via FedEx. If you are receiving a testosterone prescription, it will arrive in 1-7 business days via FedEx Ground or you can opt for 2-day FedEx shipping.
Your prescriptions will be shipped to you in a box with nothing but the FOLX logo and shipping label on it.
